With thirty years of financial planning experience at his Fountain Valley, California practice, and a commitment to client centered services, Mitchell specializes in meeting the complex needs of clients, especially the Pre and Post-retieree.

The Client’s well-being comes first and only at IFA..

Having been a teacher many years ago, he has always valued learning and has continued his pursuit of knowledge. He regularly writes about retirement income planning, economic and investment issues and current events that affect his clients and their financial well-being health.

Frequently interviewed in the past by The Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and FNN-TV, and appearing in Newsweek, Time, U.S. News & World Report, Money and Forbes, he has often been quoted on topics ranging from business and estate planning to retirement, asset allocation and and lower risk investment strategies for the retiree.

Integrity Financial Advisory was named to the 2001 Bloomberg List of the Top 150 Wealth Managers in the United Sates. IFA was ranked #100. Integrity Financial Advisory has also been named the #1 firm in assets under $100 million by Financial Advisor Magazine in their July 2007 issue.  In addition, IFA has received the coveted Five Star Wealth Manager Award for the years 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. The list of award recipients  is published each year in the March issue of Orange County Magazine and covers all wealth managers in Orange County.  Less than 7% of the wealth managers in a given geographical market are included on the final published list. And fewer than 3% of all wealth managers have received this award three years running.

During the 1980s Mitchell was the co-host and managing editor of the nationally syndicated PBS-TV series "The Financial Advisors." During the late 1990s and early 2000s, he was a regular guest on Los Angeles KRLA-AM talk radio, discussing financial planning, ways to maximize retirement income and strategies for creating lower risk investment portfolios.

  • Past Board Member Orange County Chapter of the Financial Planning Association
  • Past Board Member UCI Personal Financial Planning Program Advisory Board
  • Past Professional Education Chair for the Orange County Chapter of the Financial Planning Association

He has an abiding passion for backpacking, white water rafting and travelling the world with his family. Seeing this world in its natural state and in its cultural diversity broadens Mitchell’s horizons and in his opinion leads to a better understanding of people and their hopes for tomorrow. When he started Integrity Financial Advisory in 1991, after having been with American Express Financial Advisors for ten years, Mitchell’s wife Lisa came up with the name for the firm because of her strong belief in the kind of man she believed her husband to be. Mitchell has tried hard to live up to her opinion over the intervening years.
